¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one speaking, “How long is the vision about the continual sacrifice and the rebellion that causes desolation going to last—this handing over of both the Holy Place and the army to be trampled?”

¹⁴ He said to him, “Until two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, and then the Holy Place will be consecrated.”

¹⁵ When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I tried to understand it. Then suddenly there was someone standing in front of me who had the appearance of a man.
